The Questions: 1. What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house? 2. What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball? 3. What is the bubbly carbonated drink called? 4. What do you call your grandparents? 8. What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket? 9. What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining? 10. What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
haha, I’ve read some comments pointing out my neck/jawline acne as hickeys, but sadly.. I live with my parents atm, and they are wwwwaaaayyy too conservative to even invite my boyfriend to visit.
I’ve been reading up on a lot of acne, and jawline, neck acne is mostly caused by hormonal imbalance or the skin surface being irritated.
I would love to consider the birth control option again (I was on it in New York and then I started getting lazy with it and eventually quit), but that won’t happen while I’m living here in Texas.
As for the face, major acne has cleared up, but I still have occasional breakouts.
I don’t really have a secret method on how I cleared my skin, but I did cut out a lot of junky food in my diet (especially soda!), and I occasionally wipe my acne parts with alcohol. I know alcohol is drying and bad for the skin, but it seems to have worked for my facial acne.
I don’t splash alcohol all over, I just dab a bit right on the acne head.
I also freak out about anything touching my face now. I’ve switched my shampoo and I keep my hair out of the way. I also wipe my acne areas clean with alcohol swabs when I touch my neck area.
It doesn’t completely eliminate my acne, but it’s better than just letting them be.
Hi, I'm Catalina - I write about almost anything here on the blog. This blog first started in 2006 as a school project and later developed into a bigger platform, discussing mostly makeup and other random topics. Feel free to poke around and read away!
wow, i've never had breakouts in areas other than my face. i also cut back on junk food and i don't drink soda at all. keeping your hair out of the way and not touching your face helps since you're not transferring germs or w/e. i think being less stressed about life also helps a lot. lolz. i hope your acne problem will get better soon.
have you tried clearasil? i dont break out on my face unless i'm stressed but i break out on my back all over down to my waist area (found one today..idk how to even reach it smh) and all over my chest i started using the acne wash and mask i leave it on for a while then wash off in the shower daily, and i noticed it helped a lot, and its good for sensitive skin (because the clearasil scrub isnt…that irritated me :()
i feel you on the acne thing. apparently having a diet consisting of a lot of dairy can also cause you to break out. something to do with increasing oil production or making it thicker. my skin has gotten better since i cut it out and philosophy purity has been good for cleanser. good luck. i hope your acne clears up. it looks painful.

Eeek, I hope it clears up! A Korean friend told me that his mother fed him beansprouts whenever his skin played up which supposedly worked, but I'm not sure if there is any scientific basis to that remedy.
I used to have the occasional breakout up until earlier this year, when my face decided to launch a war against itself. I developed a lot of tiny bumps that would just sit there for months and months before randomly deciding to turn into full-blown pimples. I started using the Clarisonic Mia a little under 2 months ago, and my face has gotten so much better! I like to use it with a gentle cleanser so I don't stress my skin out too much. I don't have a problem with neck acne, but people do use their clarisonics on their necks and decolletage. Maybe you can give it a try!
I really do feel you. My acne is just as bad as yours and yes I do get these nasty imflamed pimples on my neck as well, and nothing helps, not even being on birth control. I'm 26 y/o and have had acne since I was 13, blah..I'm so tired of it!
Stress and pms is my two worst enemies when it comes to causing nasty breakouts.
I live in Japan (small town) but am originally from Australia. I started reading your blog and youtube vids last year and love the stuff you talk about.
What makes your vids interesting is that I find a lot of them quite practical and applicable (I just happen to be very unsophisticated at make-up!).
I find it slightly amusing that you say that you have bad skin though… you look amazing IMHO! I mean, I have really bad acne – pitted scars, red bumps/cysts that don't respond to medicine so when I see your skin, I'm very envious1 You always look so amazing in your vids even without make-up.
I got treatment for my acne and have seen a dermatologist many times over the years, until someone realised that my acne was hormonal and related to PCOS. Anyway, short story; I take Yaz now and it seems pretty effective. I don't get the bad acne but I still get ocassional breakouts. For odd reasons, my body seems devoid of acne or the acne on the body doesn't scar no matter how big or horrid looking the acne.
But on my face, I get bad scars. I find that benzoyl peroxide is good for non-cystic acne like yours – I get a bit of it when I break out too. My diet is so-so but I agree with you that cutting down on salt and sugar does help a bit!
Anyway, hope to see more of your vids! Thanks for all these wonderful tips and information π
I used to get acne on my jawline.. mixture of cystic and normal pimples, but I read somewhere that dairy products can cause pimples. I never used to get pimples/cystic around my chin and jawline by eating dairy products, but as I age, my body could not take the consumption of dairies. I still cheat here and there, but I try to avoid butter, milk, yogurt, ice cream, etc..I even look at the ingredients when I purchase food at the groceries. NOW, I hardly get any pimples/cystic around my jawline. I basically cut out 90% of dairy intake. It was a daily struggle of not eating ice cream, yogurt, even to milk chocolate cookies, but I have overcome my cravings. Hope this helps!

I love my skin. I can say that I'm lucky to be have a naturally white skin. However, I had pimples before but it faded away because of my healthy diets. You can try to eat banana or other healthy foods and fruits. It's indeed very effective. I am now happier because I have a white and flawless skin.
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece of information. I must say that while reading your post I found my thoughts in agreement with the topic that you have discussed, which happens very rare.
